Turning off "Find My iPhone" Instructions
You need to turn off the "Find My iPhone" device setting before returning your device to us.
This is a requirement of this program and is necessary to fully clear your information from the device.
Turn off Find My iPhone using one of the options below:
On the device itself
- Tap Settings > iCloud. Scroll to the bottom
- If Find My iPhone is Off, skip to Step 3. If Find My iPhone is On, tap Find My iPhone, and set it to Off. Enter your Apple® ID password when prompted. If the device gives an error, see instructions.
- Power off your device, place it in the return envelope provided by Asurion, and send it to us via US Mail.

Turn off Find My iPhone using iCloud
Use this procedure if your device will not power on or the screen is not working.
- Ensure the device is turned off.
- Log in to www.icloud.com/#find using your Apple ID and password.
- Click All Devices. Select the claimed, inactive iPhone from the list of All Devices. If your claimed device is not listed, or if you do not have an iCloud account, skip to step 5.
- Click Remove from Account.
- Be sure your device is powered off. Place it in the return envelope provided by Asurion, and send it to us via US Mail.

We received your returned iPhone. However, Find My iPhone was not turned off, and the device still has your iCloud information on it.
Turning off Find My iPhone using iCloud
- Log in to your iCloud account at www.icloud.com/#find using your Apple ID and password.
- Click Find My iPhone > All Devices.
- Find the iPhone you returned to Asurion. Your active devices appear with a green dot to the left of the device name, whereas inactive devices appear with a grey dot.
- Click the inactive device listed under All Devices.
- Click Remove from Account.
- Be sure your device is powered off. Place it in the return envelope provided by Asurion, and send it to us via US Mail.
