NOTICE CONCERNING LEGAL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS APPLICABLE IN ONTARIO

The Sale of Goods Act (Ontario) may provide certain implied warranties or conditions:

  1. There is an implied condition that goods will be fit for a particular purpose if (a) you have expressly or impliedly let the seller know the particular purpose for which the goods are required and (b) the goods are normally supplied in the seller’s course of business.
  2. There is an implied condition that goods will be of merchantable quality if goods are bought by description from a seller who deals in goods of that description. But if you inspect the goods, this condition does not apply to defects that should have been revealed by that inspection.
  3. An implied warranty or condition as to quality or fitness for a particular purpose may also exist based on usage of trade.

These warranties and conditions apply under the circumstances described above, unless they are inconsistent with an express warranty or condition agreed to by the parties.

The device you have purchased is subject to a manufacturer’s warranty for a period typically of one year commencing on the date of purchase.

You may also ask the supplier to make available to you a copy of the manufacturer’s warranty that applies to the goods.
